The BEST big brother in the world!

Ashton melts my heart. Ever since Ellie was born they are each other's favorite person. Ashton will do anything for her and she just idolizes him. I think about how lucky I am everyday when I see them interacting. I notice that even when I am not around and she is in his room watching him play, I will come back and she will have all sorts of toys that Ashton has brought over to her and ususally they are all of his favorite toys! I can't get over him. They other day he asked if Ellie could play with his tools with him so I propped her up next to him and gave her a tool to play with, I was doing dishes and I came back to find that he had put a pair of safety goggles on her! They were so cute! Ashton was dead serious about it, he just said that she needs to be safe too, that made it all the cuter! Anyhow, he is just my favorite little guy ever and I hope that he keeps his selfless and gentle qualities forever!

Bless his heart!

Do my kids look tired or what? That is because this picture was taken at 6:00am, ahhhhhhh! There is a very funny story that goes with it though. Ashton is my king of all sleepers, I get him out of bed most mornings but this morning was different, I heard his door open very early in the morning so I slowly got up to see if he needed a drink or something. When I got to him he was the most excited you have ever seen a small person be at 6:00am. He was so anxious to tell me something that he was practically yelling (hence why Ellie is also in the picture at 6:00am). He finally got out that he found his first mole on his body and just couldn't wait to show me, it is on his leg. How he found this teeny tiny thing that looks like the smallest freckle you ever saw in the middle of the night, I do not know, but the fact is it is there and he is dang proud of it and will gladly show it to anyone anywhere anytime. Do you know how hard it is to fake enthusiasm for something like this at this time. "Wow Ashton that is awesome I am so glad that you showed me that mole, have you shown your Daddy yet?" Funny little guy he is.

Ellie

I just was looking at Ellie thinking that she was so beautiful and thought I would share a picture of her. She is gnawing down a spoon, it is very difficult to get a picture of her without something in her mouth! She has the most petite features! She is 6 months old and is just 13 lbs. Her feet are just fitting into those teeny crib shoes! I joke that she had better wear shoes by the time she is in school or the other kids will think that she is weird. I feel bad sometimes because I have said rude things about her like her being birth control because she is so loud or that it is not too late to reconsider adoption, things along these lines, but Brian and I were talking that it is so funny that everyone tries to one up everyone else with how perfect their children are, but guess what, you would love them all the same whether they were perfect or not. Ellie is by no means a perfect baby, she is LOUD, she screams, she gets up at 6:45 am reguarly, but she is the most loving, gentle little girl who needs us so much and little does she know that we need her even more.

A Day at the Aquarium!

My husband, John, and Josh went to southern Utah for the weekend to help search for a missing couple from Kearns, I hope that they find them! The wives decided that we needed to do something fun with the kids so we went the The Living Planet Aquarium and out to lunch. Ashton loved petting all of the animals, although he decided that he just wanted to look at the horseshoe crab. He loves getting out with Noah and William because he is normally surrounded by girls so he gets to get a little of his manliness out. Ellie was as loud as ever, shrilling and screaming at everything as happy as can be. I actually had one woman come up to me and say it is so funny how she is smiling all while yelling at the different animals. Her new talking is a very high pitch LOUD squeal that she can manage to do for oh say about an hour and a half if she is really happy. I don't know where she got to be so dang loud. She couldn't go in the rainforest show because they requested that it be silent for the birds, Ellie is not capable of this. Another woman came up to me and said that her daughter talked very loud like that when she was a baby up until about 9 months when she just started talking full sentences, ANOTHER THREE MONTHS, I DON'T THINK THAT I CAN TAKE IT!, but we do love her very much of course.
