Hide and Seek!

So this is day three of my kids being sick. They are getting better today, but I still don't want to take them around anyone and spread their cold. Needless to say we are all running out of things to do around the house so I was playing hide and seek with Ashton, which he will do for hours. This was his favorite hiding spot where he was sure that I wouldn't find him. I managed to take pictures without him even noticing! I love that little guy so much!

Poor sick kids!

So Ashton and Ellie haven't been sick yet at all this winter, yea! So I guess it had to catch up with them sooner or later and they are both sick. Poor little Ashton has had a fever so he comes and gets us in the middle of the night to say that he needs a drink because he is so hot. He also is abusing Germ-x telling me that if the germs go away he can play with his friends and have a sleepover at Grandma and Umpas house. Sad little Ellie has never been sick before so she is just acting very serious. I think that her face is so funny when she is not all smiley, here are some pics.

Oh little Ellie

So anyone who knows Ellie knows that she is CONSTANTLY sucking on something, whether it be her clothes, thumb, finger, you get the picture. Well now she has discovered the art of sucking on her toes, she loves the big one. For some reason she doesn't think that she can get them with pants on so she waits until I am changing her diaper to pop them in. She is such a funny little thing.

Boys will be Boys

So I spend all day long telling Ashton how nice it is to play soft and how I like how gentle he is being with his blocks today all to have Dad come home and crash cars into each other and drive them like crazy all over my house, bless his heart!

Remanising

So I went to see Samantha and her new little baby the other day and it made me realize how fast time flies. It seems like I was just pregnant and ready to burst and couldn't wait to have the baby. Then came little Ellie belly and I couldn't wait until she was sleeping through the night, now I can't wait until she can self entertain a little more. Well seeing a new baby made me stop for a minute and enjoy the moment. I know that I had to remind myself to do that often with Ashton because sometimes it is a lot of work having a new little one. Ellie looked so big compared to a little newborn and it made me realize that my little baby is growing up, possibly a little too fast, maybe I will stop feeding her and she will slow down a little, just kidding. I thought I would post some pictures of me as a B-I-G girl and my little girl.

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas this year with the kids. Our tradition is to go to Colorado where my grandparents live and spend the holidays with my family. This kids got spoiled rotten and loved every minute of it! One of Ashton's favorite presents was temporary Cars tattoos that Santa gave him in his stocking. Everyday he would insist on getting another one on his arm, now I know what my answer would be if he ever asked for just one real one. Ellie was so funny, she is starting to scream just because. She will be smiling and happy all while screaming an ear piercing scream. She managed to continue this the entire week we were in Colorado, what a vocal little girl!
